Along with the requirements of print speed, precision and width of ink-jet printer increasing unceasingly, the demands on the speed and reliability of data translation and processing are also becoming higher and higher.In order to resolve the problem of the speed of data processing, a large format ink-jet printer controller solution based on high performance microprocessor S3C2440 is given in this thesis. Aiming at the potential problem of the reliability of data transmission which caused by the reciprocated cable, a wireless transmission scheme is advanced, a Hi-speed USB2.0 interface based on ARM bus is designed, and the transplant of drivers and embedded system are finished too. Secondly, as the data transmission speed of wireless network is low, a FPGA hardware decoder module is designed to overcome the flaw, in which a parallel Huffman decoder is used to decode the image data in real-time. The results show that the scheme is simple and applied; the speed and reliability of data transmission are improved effectively.
