Research On Maneuvering Targets Simulation And Target Tracking Methods

Maneuvering target tracking not only plays an important role in modern warfare, but also has a significant influence in civil and scientific research fields. Because of its broad application prospect, maneuvering target tracking has been paid more attention by many experts and scholars.This thesis researches on the theory and implementation methods of maneuvering target tracking. The thesis firstly introduces the clutter classification, analyzes the characteristics of clutter amplitude and power spectrum, and then further studies on the simulation methods of maneuvering target with clutter background. Finally, the theory on maneuvering target tracking and track initiation is elaborated, and data association and maneuvering target tracking algorithms are mainly studied.Data association and linear filtering method is improved in this thesis. The common data association algorithms include nearest neighbor algorithm, probabilistic data association and joint probabilistic data association. In view of the uncertainty of the echo entering into wave gate, the thesis presents a new method that first calculates the number of echo, and then determines which data association algorithm to use. The simulation results demonstrate that the method achieves much better performance than using single algorithm. For filtering, the way of serially and parallel combining different filter according to the motion state of maneuvering target gains a better effect.
