Compared with other measuring technologies, image measurement has many advantages, such as directness, resisting the disturbance of electron and so on, and it has been widely used. In this paper, the theory of measuring with single camera is studied, which can be used in marine helicopter's landing device, and the algorithms for computing the information of beaconing position is induced, according to its imaging. Camera calibration is one of the most significant parts of image measurement. For testing and improving the calibrating algorithm available, a simple method is presented in this paper, automatically creating several calibration images according to camera parameters with a PC, and their analysis has also been done refer to a number of experiments. On the other hand, in order to evaluate and improve the tracking and image measuring system, a mathematical model is presented in this paper, with its design frame about moving targets and camera imaging, and on this basis, double channels of static scene and single channel of dynamic scene are created with a PC for image measurement, and its exactness and availability have been proved by the algorithm of image measurement with single camera.
