Research On The Implementation Of ARQ Protocol In Wireless Communication System

In LTE communication system, Automatic Repeat-reQuest(ARQ) technology is essential for communication of multiple mobile terminals in shared wireless channel. In current mobile communication systems, the higher efficiency of wireless resource utilization is not imminently because of absence of applications, however, in high speed wireless mobile IP communication system, transmission rate has been enhanced greatly and applications with burst character would be in the leading position. So, one of the key technologies is automatic repeat request(ARQ) for highly efficient utilization of limited network resource.In this paper the main ARQ technologies in wireless channel are introduced,from the view of development of ARQ technologies, current ARQ technologies have resolved the problems of data transmission in wire network. Even if there is a relatively perfect ARQ mechanism in wireless network, the configuration of parameters has not been solved perfectly. The main hard point lies in the high transmission delay and high bit error ratio. Based on the research of the key points of ARQ technologies in LTE system, a new ARQ algorithm for LTE system is suggested. Through analyzing the effect of parameter configuration on system performance, a method of parameter configuration for the algorithm is given. At last, a simulation platform is established to verify the algorithm. The simulation results validate that this new algorithm and configuration could adapt itself to the high transmission delay and high bit error ratio.
