In the area of underwater acoustic engineering, the visualizition of sonar data plays a very important role. The application of visualization make much boring data display with vivid graphics and image. That helps people to understand and analysis sonar data. At the same time, it improves the efficiency of working for underwater exploration.The three-dimension display of sonar data is an attractive and sparkling technology in the sonar data visualization. The application of three-dimension display system can make objects in the underwater world display like real.The article is based on the project: 'the ROV for the detection of water pipeline' and focus on the acoustic visual system. This paper research on real-time display of sonar data and three-dimension display in OpenGL environment. The paper works on designing and developing real-time three-dimension display software. The software can display the image of the water pipeline when the ROV is detecting. At the same time the software can also save the sonar data for the further replay and image reconstruction. The three-dimension pipeline which draws by the software can be moved and rotated, so that people can observe the water pipeline in many different directions. It offers a scientific and accurate basis for checking and repairing the water pipe. |
