Optical 3-D measurement technology, with its advantaged of great measuring range, wide field of view, and untouched measurement and etc, the many unique virtues that other technologies don't have in, so the technology has been widely used to acquire the contour of three-dimensional object in many fields. And the three-dimensional measurement technology based on structured-light which has high accuracy and high-speed is one of the most attractive technologies.Based on the structured-light three-dimensional measurement technology in existence and phase-shift principle, this paper launches a more comprehensive research about the phase-shift measurement technology in theory. A heterodyne based phase unwrapping method is presented which is implemented with great efficiency and less complexity. Then the frequency relation model of three grating images is established according to this method. The research not only performs many experiments to analyze the factors that affect the accuracy, but also puts forward improved method. The registration algorithm of multi-view point clouds is researched to meet the need of three-dimensional measurement system. A reference points based registration algorithm is introduced. Firstly, the registration is accomplished by reference points. Then, a high accuracy result can be acquired by iterative closet point algorithm. Only three non-collinear points belongs to public area must be identified during measure process, the registration process is completed automatically after that. The results of experiment show that the algorithm discussed in this paper is useful in practice.
