Wind, as the most active factor of meteorological environment, plays a very important role in the outcome of wars and the performance of weapons. Utilization of wind energy also requires people to make a long and accurate monitoring for wind velocity. At present, there are three main anemometers, namely, hot-wire anemometer, hot-film mass air flow meter and cup anemometer. These anemometers share the same features of low measurement accuracy, narrow range, long period to test and short duration. Besides, the measuring results are easily affected by external environmental factors. Therefore they cannot meet the needs of the efficient, rapid and accurate modernized military and of monitoring for wind field with long working period and intelligent data processing.In this paper, feasible analysis of wind-speed measurement with ultrasonic is made and its measuring principle and method are proposed. Based on the wind-speed measurement sensor, the master machine control system is designed to realize automatic data acquisition and display, and communication with display & control terminal console. The research specifics are as follows:According to the relevant requirement, an overall plan of system design is put forward. The characteristics and technical specifications of CAN bus and the features of RS485 bus applied in the paper are introduced briefly.The measuring principle and method of wind velocity are expounded, and the multilevel push-pull circuit, based on high-speed, high-power transistors, is designed for driving ultrasonic signals. This paper also introduces ultrasonic reception and detection, and signal conditioning circuit. which realizes the application of ultrasonic in wind-speed measurement system.This paper accomplishes the designs of RS485 communication circuit, CAN bus communication circuit, LED display circuit and other auxiliary circuit, which belong to master machine. On the basis of IAR Embedded Workbench, the master machine control system software is written and the flow chart of some import processes is drafted. The overall function of system is debugged by means of software and hardware, and experiment on performance and function is done. The test is made to check the accuracy of wind-speed measurement, man-machine interface, LED display, and reliability of data transmission and reception through CAN bus.
