Mobile environment has many new features. Because of these new features it has brought new challenges to data dissemination, organization, access and management. Transaction processing is a basic function of the database management system, which maintains data consistency, supports multi-user concurrency access, and makes users query and update the database reliably. Mobile database system has to provide the capacity of transaction processing to meet the need of mobile applications. So how to handle the key technology problems of mobile transaction processing becomes a very important study.This thesis applied Intelligent Agent technology to mobile database, and make Intelligent Agent plays its flexibility, autonomy and mobility characteristics in mobile transaction processing model. A weak-serial theory is introduced, which guarantees the consistency of data items and ensure mobile transactions processed correctly at the same time.By analyzing characteristics of mobile transaction concurrency control, this thesis proposes MLTP strategy based on weak-serial theory, and makes specific description. Then , the MLTP strategy is proposed to mobile transaction processing model, and design a mobile transaction processing model based on Agent and MLTP strategy, TLC-MDB , and specifically explain its system structure and running process.With research of this subject, it brings new ideas and methods to mobile transaction processing in mobile database field, and provides new theoretical support for the mobile computing technology which is vigorously developing in application.
