With the wide application of satellite navigation and positioning technology, the research on navigation device has gradually become a focus in the research community of embedded system. Based on the Beidou satellite navigation and positioning system, this paper proposes the design of the display and control handle for navigation equipment, which is based on the Intel PXA255 microprocessor and Windows CE operating system. This paper describes the system hardware design, operating system migration, device driver development and display and control handle application program design in detail.This paper introduces satellite navigation and positioning technology and embedded technology at first, and analyses the features of Windows CE embedded operating system. Considering the demands of the display and control handle, we propose the hardware design scheme and related circuits design. Then Platform Builder is introduced, which is used for customizing and transplanting the operating system. The design process of BSP is presented in detail, including Boot Loader and OAL, then, we analyses the process of driver and implements the serial driver. Then the overall design of software used for display and control handle is proposed, and design of modules is described in detail, the design is realized in Embedded Visual C++ 4.0, and meets the basic requirements of display and control handle. Finally, the thesis is conluded, and further development of the system is prospected.
