| The linear frequency modulation continuous wave (LFMCW) radar has some advantages, such as small size, low weight, simple structure, low cost, low transmitting peak power, large time-bandwidth product, without blind area in range, high range solution, low probability of interception performance, etc. LFMCW radar is finding application in such diverse fields as battlefield reconnaissance, ship searching to sea, tactical navigation, artillery calibration and firing, air defense surveillance in field operation. LFMCW radar has been attended widely at home and abroad in recent years, so the theory and critical technique relating to LFMCW radar have been developed rapidly.This paper introduces the theory of LFMCW firstly, and analyzes the characteristics of beat signal of LFMCW, which illustrate the principium of distance and velocity measure. The paper also analyzes the ambiguity function of LFMCW and some key methods of signal processing, such as MTI, MTD and CFAR based on simulation with experimental data. Considering velocity ambiguity in application, arithmetic to resolve ambiguity also introduced in this paper, and comparison is done to prove that the result of DFS method is more nicety.Based on above theory and analysis, implementary plan of radar signal processing system with ADSP-TS201S processors is designed. It presents the composing and the work of this signal processing model, which provide the strong foundation for future design of certain radar. |
