Free space optical communication (FSO) is a feasible and attractive technology at present The FSO is a communication technology in which is promulgated through atmosphere and the laser is used as carrier wave. It has low cost but great capacity, it is designed to be simple and expediently accessed,so the FSO technology can be widely applied in the fields of intelligence building and military. But the traditional FSO just can provide directional communication and can not communicate when it is moving. In order to overcome this disadvantage, the preliminary design of space laser communication system is given. Firstly, the article introduces the FSO system, the meaning of research on FSO and the researching state of other countries. It synoptically discusses the application and the development trend of optical commnication, expatiates the necessary and importance of the study.Secondly, the main structure and integral parts of the FSO system are described in this thesis. It discusses the function and characteristic of the key technologies of the optical communication system.Thirdly, the preliminary design of space laser communication system is given and discussed. Combining the requirement of the system, we select some implements.At last, the basic tenets of Fuzzy control and the design of Fuzzy controller are described in this paper. We also compare the traditional PID algorithm and Fuzzy algorithm, moreover, the conclusion is that Fuzzy control is better than the traditional PID and improving the performance of system.
