In this paper, the 3rd generation synchronous HF messaging protocol, named3G-HF, is introduced roundly,and the work mechanisms of ALE and TrafficManagement (TM) protocols are briefly described. Then, the paper focuses on thedesign and realization of the data link protocols. Two data link protocols are provided:the High-Rate Data Link Protocol (HDL) and the Low-Rate Data Link Protocol (LDL),they are under different Automatic Error Request Equipment (ARQ), different frameand different packet modes, and adapt to different channel conditions. In this paper,both of the data link protocols are realized between two computers, and different kindsoffilescanbetransmittedsmoothly.Furthermore, the performance of the 3G data link protocols is discussed in thispaper, and is compared with the 2G protocol. In this paper the throughput performanceof these protocols is simulated in MATLAB under different channel conditions, andthrough the result we can see that the 3G data link protocols present muchhigher-efficientandsuperior. |
