Robotics has a wide application prospect in fields as industry, service industry, scientific research, medicine treatment and military. Human beings hope the robots not only could make work easier to do, but also could undertake great many of works. We hope realizing automation of individual function as well as manufacturing some kind of "super-machine" which has various functions. Robots could make better service to mankind by learning and adapting to the environment, which requires improving the degree of intellectualization, automation and informatization of the robots.Researches of intelligent robot have been a new emerging subject of multi-disciplines covering automation, multi-sensor information fusion, machine learning and so on. This project based on sensor technology, motion control technology, information fusion technology, communication technique, designed and manufactured Components of the robot, constructing system of intelligent robot.After making a review and summary of the robot development, this paper makes a deeper research of basic realization of miniature robot, putting forward a system construction based on wheel driving , GPS, ultrasonic sensor and image acquisition, which has the functions of velocity Feed-backing and wireless communicating. Main workings of this paper are as follows:1 .Putting forward a system framework with "C/S mode", which has a main control system of industrial computer, a coordinated controller of "host computer/ slave computer" ,and could be accessed through wireless network. This system supports various high-level languages and Matlab programming, and has functions as high-speed image processing, multi-thread controlling and network transmission.2. Designing a cloud platform based on actuator control assembly, realizing expansion and adjusting of visual field, which benefits visual tracking. After a deep study of H.264, designing encoding &decoding software of image acquisition data, realizing streaming media transmission of network image. The quality of the images is stable and the compatibility of the network is good.3. Using GPS positioning system, completing the design of Ultrasonic Obstacle monitor device and obstacle avoidance strategy in motion process, laying a foundation of autonomous navigation which is combined with map information systemThis paper describes the whole process from mechanical structure design to electric components design, and to algorithm application, and then puts forward some indexes which could express the system performance though the experimental results, and lastly summarizes the application fields and improving directions of this multi-sensors intelligent system..The results show that the system realized the design purpose as planed, completing some system functions such as target tracking, route planning and auto-navigating, finishing the construction process of intelligent system, providing a good experimental platform for the realization of complicated algorithm.
