The Reseach On Conformace Testing For Mobile Station Stack

Protocol testing is the important method to maintain the quality of the protocol implementation. Protocol conformance testing is the basic of the Protocol testing. So, the conformance testing of the protocol system is the first step. The protocol system is also becoming more complex, so we should use different method to test different protocol system.The main work of this paper is the design and implementation of the testing system's test case edit module and test case execution module. This paper discusses the related theories of protocol testing and protocol conformance testing first, including the basic definition, classify and so on. Next, this paper analyses the mobile terminal protocol specification. The Mobile Management protocol is discussed in detail because it will be used in this paper. A testing system is designed based on the understanding of the protocol conformance testing theories and methods and the analysis for the requirements of the mobile terminal protocol stack. This paper discusses the design ideology, the framework of system and the function of every module of this testing system. For realization the auto execution of the test case, the testing system adds operation related information in message flow. The test case edit module and test case execution module are discussed in detail. The main method used in these two modules is the detaching of the parts of protocol related and protocol non-related. This method is important to realize the modularization and expansibility of the testing system. This testing have nice interface for the user. Finally, using a test case validates the usability of this testing system.This testing system has been used in a development work of a mobile terminal stack, satisfied the testing requirement and played the important role in the development work.
