Micro-texture was one of the important factors estimating skid resistance of asphalt pavements. Skid resistance of the pavement was mainly influenced by the micro-texture and macro-texture. The pavement skid resistance could be accurately estimated by the rational texture characteristic parameters. The acquisition of the micro-texture of asphalt pavement was the basis of researching the characteristic parameters of the texture of asphalt pavement. Furthermore, it was the basis of exploring the mechanism how skid resistance of the pavement was influenced by the micro-texture and macro-texture. It was also the basis for the evaluation of the pavement skid resistance. It was obvious that, it had great important theoretical significance and engineering value to research the acquisition system of the micro-texture of asphalt pavement.The method of binocular stereo vision was used to collect asphalt pavement micro-texture information in this thesis. Firstly the key technology, basic composition and structure of binocular stereovision were studied profound systemically. Then a complete experiment platform was designed. The key techniques in camera calibration and characteristic matching were discussed. A mathematical model of 3D reconstruction was putted forward based on characteristics of the platform. Some basic terms and process of Genetic was introduced. Genetic algorithms were adopted to calibrate the cameras of stereo vision system for characteristics of simple using and robustness. Image matching was performed with the image processing toolbox of MATLAB. Micro-texture of asphalt pavement was reconstructed according to the principle of binocular stereo vision. The structure and function of the system could meet the examination requirements by the actually confirming. Finally, the proposal for further research are put forward based on the summaries and conclusions of all research works.
