Augmented Reality is a new research field, but compared to Virtual Reality System, users of Augmented Reality System are not isolated from the real environment, so Augmented Reality has a friendlier interactive interface and a broader application prospect. Now Augmented Reality has been used widely in the medical, manufacturing, military, entertainment and other field.3D Registration, which is one of the key technologies in Augmented Reality System, obtains user's location and direction of attention, then calculates the position of virtual objects on the projection plane and combines the image of the virtual objects and the image of real environment. Consequently, 3D Registration determines the performance of Augmented Reality System directly.3D Registration based on markers is widely used because of easy realization and high precision. But it works only if a marker is completely visible, then the activity of user is limited in a small scopes, this method of 3D Registration is usually used in indoor Augmented Reality System.3D Registration based on natural features collects and analyzes the natural features on the screen, then works with the information of natural features, so user's activity is not limited. This method of 3D Registration could be used in outdoor Augmented Reality Systems. But the errors in every frame will accumulate and the 3D Registration will be failure if the system works for a long time. This paper will introduce a new method of 3D Registration based on markers and plane natural features, which combines the advantages of two methods above and has good application prospect, the feasibility and merits of this method are validated through experiments.
