In recent years, correlative technique has wide application in a lot of fields, particularly in the area of detection domain. The research of correlative technique is becoming an important field in the detection domain. In this paper, correlative technique is applied to distance measurement, ultrasonic testing and digital image processing on the basis of domestic and foreign research. The paper contains three major aspects:correlative technique analysis in the application of interval measurement, ultrasonic detection and digital image processing.Firstly, in the research of measuring the distance with the correlative technique, when the signal goes through the distance,we can calculate the distance by analyzing the propagation time, which is one of the key technologies in the distance measurement.Secondly, the system in ultrasonic testing contains the equipment of ultrasonic generator, digital oscilloscope, computer, sensors and signal acquisition unit. It has a high sampling frequency and stability with one time send and receive the experimental model with correlation analysis algorithm, we can calculate the thickness of the specimen and the position of cracks in the specimen after the propagation time massacred by the distance which the ultrasonic go through.Thirdly, digital image correlation is a new method in digital image processing used for quantitativly analyzing the displacement and deformation in the whole area in the experimental mechnics. The procedure is divided into three modules: image preprocessing module, main program module, data post-processing and graphics display module. In the main program the correlation analysis algorithm could calculate the peak coordinates of the correlation coefficient which could be used to calculate the size of the displacement and estimate the direction of the displacement.
