Along with the rapid development of VLSI technology, and the microprocessor to improve the standardization, power system integration has laid a solid foundation. AC driver control for power system applications in the field occupies a very important position. This promoted the AC driver control system of modular, especially in medium and small-scale power application areas. Therefore, the AC driver control research and realization provide the power system integration with a practical way.Firstly, this paper introduces the status of three-phase inverter as the power supply for AC motor, the development and the trends of AC driver control system. And then, the design principle of three-phase inverter, and the fundamental of the two basic AC driver control strategies are systematically expounded on.Based on the three-phase inverter principle and pulse width modulation (PWM) theory, an analysis of a voltage sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technology and voltage space vector PWM (SVPWM) technology is provided. And the analysis shows that SVPWM has a higher DC bus voltage utilization and more easily digital control realization. Therefore, a three-phase SVPWM voltage source inverter (VSI) control model is established, and is realized on TMS320 F2812 DSP-based hardware platform. With the output of DSP hardware platform, the VSI control model can effectively regulate the inverter output voltage's frequency and amplitude, to supply the power system.Based on three-phase SVPWM VSI, and the two common control strategies of power system control -- constant voltage against frequency control strategy and vector control strategy, according to the control module, three-phase inverter module, AC motor module of power system, open-loop constant voltage against frequency control model and vector control model are constructed. Model simulations show constant voltage against frequency control strategy and vector control strategy can well control AC motor output speed at constant load torque. Meanwhile, these two control strategies differences are discussed too.The main conclusions and some questions for further research are proposed at last.
