NVD Player Human-machine Interaction System Design And Implementation

The NVD(Next Generation Disk) is the new generation of high definition video player .The NVD player could play the high definition video media which the highest definition is 1920*1080P. It Support for MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and Microsoft's WMV format coding, also include the jpg picture format.Besides playing the audio and video resource from CDROM, NVD also could play the audio and video resource from network or from mobile storage device across the USB interface. So the Human-machine Interaction system of NVD should be more complex than any DVD player. The hardware of NVD has the ability to play high definition video and the software was developed based on the uclinux operation system. The human-machine interaction of NVD should involve the basic interface design, the network configuration, receiving orders, message passage mechanism, multiple language support, and the navigation control System of NVD itself, and so on.To design the human-machine interaction system of the NVD, base on the principles and methods of human-machine interaction design, we've done a lot of research and development work on the existing hardware platform. This paper also studies the human-machine interaction systems and the technologies of development of human-machine deeply. The XML-based interface technology was choose to develop the basic human-machine interface. Besides that, the paper also implemented the receiving orders, message passage mechanism, Chinese & English language support, the NVD navigation control system, the network configuration.Testing showed that the human-machine interaction of NVD player is simple, user-friendly; it has excellent stability and fault tolerance. The NVD navigation control system could provide greater convenience for user when play the NVD format media. The NVD player on the broadcast audio and video from network or mobile storage is very smooth and achieve the desired objectives.
