As the development of satellite positioning systems, more researches on wide-beam circularly polarization antennas are done. The mutual degradation and shielding effects could not be solved well among the combination of several antenna with kinds of antenna for GPS. The problems are solved with the schemes introduced in this paper.First of all, basic theories of forms of GPS antenna are given. Characteristics of structure and performance advantages of high-order mode microstrip antenna, microstrip antenna and Sinuous dielectric antenna are presented and analyzed, and then some structure advantages are utilized, and some new structures are advanced. And meantime, with the FEM, those antennas are simulated, and better results are obtained. The high-order mode antenna was processed, and the test results according with the simulations.Secondly, recording to the requirements of multi-frequency, two kinds of antenna combinations are introduced, which could reduce the mutual degradation and shielding effects. One is composed of two high-order mode microstrip antennas and a simple four-arm spiral antenna, which could satisfy with different radiation demands of transmitter and receiver. Another used the coplanar sinuous antenna which can achieve good circular polarization requirements on all three frequencies.In this paper, relevant theoretical calculation and analysis of results are given subsequently. Also two schemes of multi-frequency antennas are advanced and compared with each other. It is available for this design method to be applied in engineering. |
