Design And Implementation Of Emergent Fire Fighting System Of Suzhou Based On GIS

This paper is on the basis of the project of development and design of emergent fire fighting system in Suzhou based on GIS. This system is a geographic information system which can offer the information and service for the urban safety,layout,management, as well as emergency succor,accident and nature disaster.According to the present situation of fire fighting management system of Suzhou, this paper develops a more targeted emergency response system by using component development tool-----MapObjects through design and the overall analysis. The functions are just as following:i. The function of demonstrating electronic map of Suzhou. This system realizes the functions of enlargement,reduction,roaming,attribute inquire,range finder etc;ii. The function of receiving alarm signal. Considering the work characteristics of fire control department, the system realizes precise and fuzzy localization of the conventional fire and emergency, as well as the scientific assignment of fire control resources which including fire-control material equipment and optimal route layout based on the different fire types and grades;iii. The function of spot decision-making. This system can achieve fire locale status pre-evaluation analysis, buffer analysis, locale direction, and it can realize protection and fire control function of the fire location status. At the same time, it can support the additional assignment of fire fighting strength and material. What's more, it strengthens the feedback and scientific management of locale information.iv. The function of evaluation and statistics. Fire control department can estimate and summarize their work by self, and can sum up emergency in a period of time in order to provide the reference to the latter work emphases.v. Data update function. The data administrator can complete the system data maintenance by himself, can adjust the map data, real time road status data, attribute data etc, and also he can assure the applicability of optimal route.This paper develops emergent fire fighting system using the component develop tool-----MapObjects based on the Visual Basic flat. The system achieves the low cost, high efficiency goals, and realizes the scientific and digital management of fire control department, provides the reference and support to the build of urban safety geographic information system.
