Along with more competition nowadays, correct and prompt decision is an important factor for the survival and development of corporations under complicated dynamic market circumstances. All kinds of information systems appear for example ERP,DRP and so on, companies have more and more data but no more useful information for corporations. So the problem that"data is rich but information is poor"is commonly concerned by both academic and enterprises. To win a war of fierce competition, it's of uttermost importance for corporations to use computer and networks technology combined with technologies such as data warehouse and deeply excavate and analyze current and historical production data information and relative environmental information, so that corporations can automatically get quick access to the information that helps make decision, serving for quick, correct and convenient decision-making.Data warehouse is a kind of architecture foundation. It offers the reliable data of high quality source which is integrated in the enterprise for making decision. In this paper, we have provided a sale decision support system based on data warehouse according to our practical work. Through establishing data warehouse, enterprise has solved problems that data is inconsistent and spotty, etc. By on-line analytical processing technology, we have analyzed mass history data in the enterprise from multi-angle of view and multi-lay of depth, so as to form the information of enterprise decision. This system has high-pertinence and good-result.In this paper, it will be introduced first about sales system in ERP, the theory for data warehouse and general design and system structure of data warehouse, the design of the mode for data preparation and data mining. Based on this, we have provided a method of data analysis, data mining, and data modeling in the sales mode of ERP system, have solved some critical problems from established-process. Sure enough, it would give corporations'executives great support to analyze dynamic direction of market, estimate product price and make sales plan and manufacturing plan as well. This paper has the theoretical value and the actual value for the development of enterprise decision support system.
