Port Information Platform Configuration Based On RFID And Key Technology Research

With the development of global economy, the throughput of ports increases rapidly. Keeping ports safe become more difficult as more people and vehicles will enter or leave ports. At the same time, in order to abide by the amendments to SOLAS, ports need to increase their safe level. The traditional management methods can not satify the needs and it is necessary to develop a new system by advanced information technology.Port's information platform needs contain these functions: personnal cards'indentification, vehicle cards's indentification, indentification of OCR vehicle No. and monitoring of personal and vehicle.We use Visual C++ and ASP.NET to develop the platform. They are useful and important in developing systems.This paper aims to build a port information platform based RFID technology. By this platform, customers can apply for business and submit it on the internet. Staffs can improve the efficiency by dealing with business on the internet. System can collect the personnel and vehicle information by RFID. The information can be traced.According to the port's needs analysis, we make a functional design, and then build the information platform. Based on the status of Qinhuangdao Port, we propose to build the port gateway system based RFID to manage personnel, vehicles and goods. The information about persons or vehicles is written in the RFID tag firstly. Then system manages persons and vehicles by tags.The paper studies the protocols against collision, which is key technology of RFID for collecting information. It analyses the used protocols, and gives an improving protocol. Besides, it studies the application of XML technology.
