A single camera model used to measure long distance space two-dimensional coordinates was given in this paper. This model can be used to build the corresponding mathematical model between reference points and measured points based on the interconnection base and the perspective projection geometrical relationship. And space two-dimensional coordinates can be rebuilt by using the image coordinates of the monocular CCD camera. The research work in this thesis is about the solution of some key problems in the system design, the main contents and innovative points include:1. Measurement model of the system and its calibration. The calibration referring to the calibration of the plane in which the reference points and measured points locate sets up the relation between camera coordinate system and space coordinate system so that realizes the transformation from 2-D computer image coordinate to 2-D information of space coordinate system. As the key part in this paper, the measurement method mainly contains four parts: (1) build of the mathematical model of measurement method; (2) calibration of the mathematical model of measurement method; (3) the analysis of error of the mathematical model of measurement method; (4) the rectify of error of the mathematical model of measurement method.2. A real-time image processing method based on filter glass is designed. This method used inter-frame difference technology, merged several image processing into one function, so that it can finish all processing work in a short time. And the method does not use different functions but creatively use one function circularly which shortens processing time of system.3. Design of the whole system. As an integrated computer vision system, this system includes a hardware system which can be divided into optics system, CCD sensing device and controlling & processing unit(computer), and a corresponding software for the image capturing and controlling and software for center of control. The overall structure, the function flow, and the key technique in the software are discussed in detail.
