High-pressure water jet is a new technology. It rises international in recent years. The advantages of high-pressure water jet are high efficient, energy saving, no pollution and so on. It has been used in wider areas. This thesis detailed research on removal of road stripe using high-pressure water jet, analyzed the theory of removal of road stripe using high-pressure water jet and detailed introduced road removing equipment and simulated with FLUENT.This thesis detailed introduced theory of removal of road stripe using high-pressure water jet. It designed the road stripe removing equipment and explained the component system of the equipment. It detailed introduced the important components.Nozzle is one of important components of equipment. Nozzle can change the kinetic and dynamic characteristics of high-pressure water jet. It effected clearance effect mostly. This thesis researched the relationship between flow parameters of high-pressure water jet and geometric parameters of nozzle. It provided the basis for the design of high efficient nozzle.This thesis used control equation of Computational Fluid Dynamics and built simulation model of the flow inside and outside the nozzle with FLUENT software. The two-dimensional simulation results of the flow inside high-pressure water jet nozzle showed that the angle of inner taper can effect the velocity field and swirl character of high-pressure water jet. When the taper angle of the nozzle is 15 degree, the velocity field can avail acceleration and reduce the nozzle wear. When the inlet diameter of nozzle is 1.5mm and length-diameter ratio of nozzle is 2.5, the pressure can more better convert velocity. The two-dimensional simulation results of the flow outside nozzle showed that the clearance effect was mainly decided by the pressure and reasonable target distance could improve the clearance effect. When the impact angle is 30 degree, the clearance effect can more better. The simulation results of high-pressure water jet are confirmed by the experiment. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
