Frequency hopping communication has strong anti-interference ability, high spectrum efficiency, high security, and is anti-multipath, anti-fading, and easy-to-networking etc. At present, frequency hopping technology is mainly used in the field of military communications, but also is widely used in civilian areas, such as mobile communications, radar, navigation, power line communication, wireless LAN and so on.This thesis mainly completed the analysis, design and realization of a low-power wireless frequency hopping radio. Firstly, it detailed the low-power wireless frequency hopping radio's function of the hardware module and its implementation technology, the hardware platform of synchronization control was based on the microprocessor chip AT91SAM7S256 and the radio frequency platform was based on the low-power radio frequency chip CC2400. Secondly, a key factor was analyzed in the frequency hopping communication synchronization, the synchronization problem was converted into the time alignment of the frequency hopping radio communication. Through analyzing, comparison of the basis of the frequency hopping synchronization technology, a suitable method for frequency hopping communication synchronization was given, we used the method that prefixes the synchronization information word for the synchronization ,and use TOD as major synchronization information to realize frequency hopping synchronization, designed the synchronization program of frequency hopping radio. Finally, we completed the frequency hopping software programming and debugging, realized the entire frequency hopping synchronization program, given the test results, and carried out the performance analysis of the synchronous.
