Research On Channel Estimation And Equalization Technology Based On CMMB System

This paper makes a research on the channel estimation and equalization technology in wireless OFDM system receiver in mobile reception condition.First, the development of mobile multimedia broadcasting technology is introduced, and then the basic idea of OFDM technology and the characteristics of wireless channel model are analyzed. Then, considering the difficulties to keep the balance between performance and complexity in traditional adaptive channel estimation algorithms, an improved channel estimation algorithm based on pilot in frequency domain is proposed according to the specific frame structure of China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting system, which reduces the computational complexity of ICI cancellation in traditional algorithm. All the algorithms in this paper are simulated and compared in Matlab and the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs well in frequency selective and time selective fading channels Finally, the equalization and soft-decision technologies in OFDM system are studied and a total solution to the equalization module in CMMB system is proposed which is verified by demodulating field test data. The results show that the proposed algorithm and architecture can meet the requirements of burst transmission, high mobility and power saving in mobile TV system.
