With the development of multimedia technology and network technology, media security is becoming more and more important. In this case, the information hiding technology has developed rapidly. As a main branch of the information hiding technology, digital watermarking technology has become a research hotspot in multimedia security.At present, watermark exists two problems: the current digital watermarking is non-uniqueness, and there is no necessary link between watermark and the copyright owner. Accordingly this paper proposes an information hiding method by using iris character as the watermark signal. The digital watermarking technology and iris recognition technology are analyzed and studied deeply in this paper. Based on the two techniques, digital watermark signal is produced by using invariance and nonvolatile of biometrics. Thus both advantages of the two techniques are used. Comparing with the merits and demerits of all encoding methods, Gabor filter is used to encode the iris normalization image. In digital watermarking, two schemes are proposed. One algorithm that thesis is based on Wavelet Transform and Singular Value Decomposition. Anther is based on DCT and Human Visual System. The results indicate, the two schemes both have better transparency and robust capability.
