In recent years, with growing demand of marine exploitation and national defence, the requirement of Underwater Acoustic Network, Underwater Surveillance System and Underwater Acoustic Early-Predicting become more and more urgent. So the research of Underwater Acoustic Communication Network has been one of the hotspots in worldwide. Underwater Acoustic Communication Network is composed of nodes, which are detectors of the Underwater Acoustic Communication Network, as well as wireless links between underwater base station, water surface base station and Shore-base. So the nodes are very important for Underwater Acoustic Communication Network.This thesis is one part of study on the nodes of Underwater Acoustic Communication Network. It is mainly about digital processing hardware platform of the node of Underwater Acoustic Communication Network. The digital processing part which completes netting, communicating and detecting, is the core of the node of Underwater Acoustic Communication Network.The point of this thesis is about design and implementation of digital processing hardware platform of the node of Underwater Acoustic Communication Network. First, according to the technical requirements, the scheme of hardware is discussed. The structure of ARM+DSP is adopted, and the embedded real-time operating system could be loaded in ARM for the management and allocation of task. Then the selection of main processor is studied from different angles. The composing of the hardware platform, as well as function and interface of every component are studied seriously. The performance and characteristics of the chips used on the hardware platform are introduced in detail too.
