Software-reused is an method of repeat using software asset or software process ,which aim to enhance software quality and exploiture efficiency. Component-based software development has become the mainstream technique of Software-reused. CBSD requires support of a sufficient number of components, while the component description and retrieval method, which are related to the management of these components, are the key technology to achieve CBSD. For traditional component description and retrieval methods, users cannot precisely retrieve the demand-matching components resource, to achieve resource sharing and reusing purpose, because of insufficient description of semantic information for the components.To the above problem, this paper advises that ontology should be used in component description and retrieval. Domain Ontology provide semantic support of component description and component retrieval. Ontology based component description model has been studied. During the description, the interface, element components and domain components were described respectively. The semantic relationship between components was emphasized. The flexibility, extendibility, replaceability and other features of the component were effectively supported in CBSD. Based on the component description model. Component retrieval method, which is based on semantic domain knowledge, has been studied. In this method, in order to improve the flexibility of retrieval and the ease of use, natural language was used to confirm enquiries. Domain knowledge in domain ontology was used to expand and refine enquires. Component ontology semantic network was used to expand the enquiry results. Through the above methods, users can know more related domain knowledge during the retrieval process. Meanwhile, the degree of user satisfaction and the retrieval quality (recall ratio and precision ratio) were effectively improved. Software reuse was also strongly supported. Toward the result of the component retrieval method based on semantic, this paper imports semantic distance to compute the semantic relativity and improves on the semantic distance compute arithmetic.
