Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) is a kind of information distribution system which has big capacity, security, anti-jamming and time division multiple address architecture. It has integrated the capability including communication, navigation recognition. It can also offer service to armed forces unity. It has overcome the defects of the separated communication, control and navigation systems in the former, such as the bad working ability, the small covering scope, lack of relation among systems, and the ability of anti-ruins was weak, the data real-time nature was bad, also they couldn't produce the enemy, the friend and the neutrality mutually recognition and position data. JTIDS has the very high tactical technology characteristic and multi-function.Communication plays a very important role in Command, Control and Communication (C~3) System. However on one hand, the great need of communication capacity makes anti-jamming problem worse. On the other hand,because of the great development of obtaining witting and jamming technology, makes communication in great danger of enemy jamming.Therefore, JTIDS must have certain velocity of data transmitting.Meanwhile,it has the character security, anti-jamming and low probability of being intercepted and captured. This paper is surrounded by the problem of how to enhance the data transmitting velocity of JTIDS and keep the anti-jamming ability in certain level, which is compatible with the former JTIDS. The main results are as follows:1. It is detailed to study the most important functions and work elements of JTIDS system, and an entire concept of JTIDS is established by studying the information format, network composing and so on.2. It is detailed to study Reed Solomon code in JTIDS system, together with Turbo code which is used extensively, then simulate and analyze these two kinds of codes.3. It is detailed to study the JTIDS packed-4 system.Then by implementing the emulation of the entire system, a data link model of packed-4 is set up.4. Create a new scheme of designing JTIDS enhancing system.Based on JTIDS packed-4 system,using RS-Turbo code instead of RS code and direct sequence spreading spectrum technique which are in the former system,makes the data transmitting velocity enhanced,which is over lMbps.Meanwhile,has certain anti-jamming ability.And the feasibility of this sheme is proved by computer simulation.
