The Third Generation Mobile Communication System (3G) is a global coverage of the network system which is used to provide high-quality multimedia communications to users, not only to support the traditional voice and data services, but also support interactive services and distributed services, such as multimedia services and e-commerce, this brand-new service environment set a higher request to network system's security.This dissertation focuses on the EAP-AKA (Extensive Authentication Protocol - Authentication and Key Agreement) of the third generation mobile communication systems , with the Authentication Test Method based on the theory of Strand Space to verify the correctness of EAP-AKA protocol in the Peer and EAP Server. Firstly, 3G mobile communication system security principles, objectives, requirements and facing security threats are introduced;a detailed analysis of a 3G mobile communication system security architecture, security features of its five groups to the security of Research, a in-depth analysis of the 3G's security features on the 3G Access Network authentication mechnism, data confidentiality mechnism and data integrity mechanism are carried out,these algorithms or protocols which realizing above mechnisms are discussed too. Secondly, the 3G system security requirements of Authentication Protocol and authentication protocol facing security threats are presented; a detailed analysis of the EAP-AKA agreement processes and security is carried out. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, Authentication Test Method is applied on the verification of correctness of EAP-AKA both in the Peer side and EAP Server side .
