This thesis describes the basic theory of the airborne PD radar signal processing. Firstly, the pulse compression of FM signal is provided. Secondly, the method of moving target detection employing Doppler filter banks is analyzed. Thirdly, the performance of pulse compression and coherent integration under the environment of moving target is also analyzed. Finally, for the specificity of ground clutter spectrum, the shifting of the center of main clutter spectrum and spreading of the spectrum due to the motion of airborne platform are analyzed. At the same time, with using the data of echo and inertial guidance, the method of motion compensation is introduced.Based on the experience of developing generic parallel signal processing machine and the estimation to the quantity of operations and communication in the system, a hardware system based on standard VME bus of multiple DSP parallel processing configurations is designed. Also, the framework of the signal processing board and the interface timing board are elaborated. Besides, the software design of the major function module of the signal processing is discussed. At last, test result of the system is analyzed, and the system improvement is considered primarily.
