The Study Of Detection And Orientation,Recognition And Key Technology Based On Face Sketch

Face recognition has its particular advantage over other biology characteristic as a kind of means of identity recognition and has been emphases of research internationally in recent years. Furthermore there is the important academic and applied value. Face sketch recognition is a significant part of face recognition. It is provided with own characteristic and own value. In recent years face sketch recognition is gradually emphases of study in identity recognition field.In this paper, it first introduce the background of research, the current research, methods and trend on face recognition and face sketch recognition. Then it respectively discusses the pretreatment of face sketch, the detection and orientation and recognition of face sketch.This paper lays emphasis on the recognition of face sketch. Based on others production of study on this field, a novel face sketch recognition algorithm is developed in this paper. This method, that is the photo-to-sketch transformation method, is shown to be an effective approach for automatic matching between a photo and a sketch. In this part we specially describe the reason of the photo-to-sketch transformation, scheme of the photo-to-sketch transformation, detailed arithmetic and the flow of new method.Finally, the experiment results of face recognition are presented and analyzed. The results indicate that the novel method——transforming a photo image into a sketch is a effective method that can automatically matching between photo and sketch. Without considering the absolute recognition accuracy, the relative superior performance of the new method compared to the human performance and the conventional photo based methods clearly demonstrates the advantage of the new algorithm.
