Positioning Technique In The EPLRS System

Enforced position location reporting system (EPLRS) is a tactic system that integrates communication, navigation and identification functions. So, navigation is very important. There are a lot of themes about filtering techniques to be researched and developed in the engineering application, especially in the military application. In this paper, we mainly introduce EPLRS positioning technique, the position processing unit design concept, systematic structure, software design and implication, and system test. System tests are summarized and test results are given. Finally, EPLRS positioning technique and implementation methods are evaluated, and its applications are prospected. Designed position processing software was used at EPLRS demonstration system which was developed during national tenth five year plan. Functions were verified. Test results reveal that development goals have been reached with position accuracy being better than design requirement.
