Design And Implement Of A CFD Pre/Post Process Software Based On Solidworks

With the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) widely used in the automobile,aerospace of the industrial areas, CFD has more and more highly demanded of pre/post process software. World famous of fluid dynamics analysis software of the Phoenics occupies a dominant position in computational fluid dynamics analysis field, but its user interface is very old and not very friendly. As a result, the author tries to develop a CFD pre/post process software on the three-dimensional CAD software of SolidWorks secondary development platform.The software is divided into three modules: user interface module, pre-processing module, and post-processing module. User interface module use SolidWorks SDK and the secondary development interface to develop user interface that is suitable for operation. Pre-processing module chiefly establishes Solved-objects' information, visualization cube cell, border grid and initial conditions, and analyses and processes the flow of the region's part-area data through the operation of the cross-section. Post-processing module uses the best method of the quadrilateral grid algorithm to deal with contour data, uses Marching Cubs algorithm to deal with the iso-surface data. Though analyzing the resulted data, can it performs three-dimensional graphics technology to achieve the iso-line data and the iso-surface data' visualization.This article firstly detailed probe into the secondary development of SolidWorks technology, simplely introduces process and visualization technology of the CFD, and briefly study the algorithm of iso-line and iso-surface. Through the practice, the author develops a CFD pre/post process software base on SolidWorks, shows the charm of the SolidWorks secondary development, completes a friendly user interface, a fully functioning CFD pre/post process software, and improves the availability of Phoenics.
