Technology and information is rapidly developing in today's society. People benefit from high-technology which brings great convenience, and at the same time, request the high-tech services higher and higher. How to use the power of technology so that the people's security measures more reliable and more effective to prevent theft, robbery and other criminal acts, has become a hot issue. The traditional access control systems use key, smart card, the user ID + password, and so on. The key or smart card can be lost or stolent. With the development of computer and pattern recognition technology, using of the biometric identification technology to the security monitoring system is possible.In this paper, the design and realization using facial feature for the control information of embedded multi-functional Access Control System is introduced. The system uses the high-performance single board computer Intel Embedded EC5-1719CLDNA Star, processing the image, the realization of multi-function control. The system has the function of automatic face detection identification, automatic lighting, voice prompt, apply for the visit. The core of system is face recognition to achieve access control, improving the security of the home.The paper descripts the multi-functional embedded access control system, including the various functions of the hardware and software design. First, introduce the background and significance; Second, introduce a whole functions and structure of the multi-functional embedded access control system; Third, introduce the various modules of concrete hardware design and software design, such as the image acquisition, environmental monitoring corridors, automatic lighting, part of the voice prompts, visitors to apply for visiting; Fourth, introduce the details of the human system face detection and identify applications, the main face detection position, fisherface method of face recognition methods. Fifth, introduce the hardware and software testing. The ultimate realization of the system of automatic lighting, voice prompts, visitors to apply for other functions, for the convenience of the user's life.
