In recent years, service oriented architecture (SOA) with its loosely coupled, coarse-grained and platform-independent feature has become the next development stage of software architecture.SOA presents function units of the application in the form of services. Service interface is defined in platform-independent way, which makes services built in all kinds of systems interact through a common and unified approach. As the most desirable design pattern of SOA, enterprise service bus (ESB) is becoming a research focus of the IT strategy. ESB truly embodies the concept of SOA, and treats everything as services which are equal in ESB. ESB is a standard integration of loosely coupled services and applications. ESB is an infrastructure for enterprise application, which meets SOA requirements of communication, integration, security, transaction support and service quality control. In this paper, we mainly concern with the SOA based on ESB. Through in-depth study of related theoretical system about SOA and ESB, we propose a model of multi-layer SOA based on ESB. The model is divided into five layers: expression layer, the Enterprise Service Bus layer, service layer, data link layer and data layer, whose meaning and function are analyzed and explained in detail. Finally, this model is applied into the project: Liaoning Huafu printing and dyeing Co. Ltd's enterprise management system. This SOA based on ESB system is implemented with BizTalk Server 2006 and WCF on .NET platform.Practice has proved that SOA has become an ideal approach for constructing the enterprise information system, especially for those enterprises with complex IT environment. Using SOA for enterprise informationization, can avoid information-island problem, so that enterprises can respond to market changes fast and flexibly. In this paper, the method for informationization to the development of printing and dyeing industry has reference value.
