With network applications more popular in life, new network protocols come out endlessly, and the networks become more complex. So reliability requirements for them are more critical. Network management becomes increasingly essential. Network management system consists of the managed side—network equipment and network services—and management side. The managed parts provide management interfaces to the other side, which determines the implementation of network management data collection technologies.This thesis is based on the author's research project—Integrated Management System Of IP Data Network. During the project, some deeply research on network management data collection has be done, with the latest research results around the world and several applied network management systems which were developed by our lab referred.On the basis of several popular network management protocols at present analyzed, the problem of integrated network management collecting system is pointed out. Advantages and disadvantages about these applied network management systems such as HuBei Industrial and Commercial Bank Network Management System and EPON Network Management System are also presented. On the basis of this, a separate-deploying solution that asynchronous communication takes place through JMS message queue between Server and Collector is proposed. The service in the solution is published and discovered in Java Naming Directory Interface. A mature development package for thread-pool in Java 5 is adopted to improve collecting efficiency. Java dynamic loading technology is used to reduce the coupling between the collecting framework and field business. The professional technologies such as JMS, JNDI and Thread-Pool, etc. are enveloped in relevant modules to facilitate upper developing, enhancing these modules'reuse and software developing progress. To sum up, this network management data collecting subsystem is all-purpose, for all kinds of network management collecting protocols can be integrated into it.
