The infrared test diagnosing technology is a new modern defect diagnoses technology for the electric equipment, which is a new comprehensive technology combining engineering and theory. The defect diagnoses technology has greatly promoted the change of equipment maintenance institutional in enterprises and lowered economic loss. Along with the unceasing development of defects diagnostic technology for the electric equipment, modern infrared technology undergoes steady improvements and matures day by day; the infrared test diagnosing technology for equipment develops rapidly as a handy and quick technology for equipment condition online testing. It has an extremely broad prospect of application for equipment fault diagnosis, because of its advantages such as non-contact, audio-visual, fast, safe, extensive application.After shortly explain the basic theory of the infrared test diagnosing technology in this paper, I introduce the construction and principle of the infrared test diagnosing system. Secondly, I detail the design and implement of the computer software, which is programmed with Visual C++. NET and combined with database to deal with the infrared images systematically. I elaborate on the infrared image processing algorithms and control process, which play an important part in the software. In the infrared image processing algorithms part, several new algorithms, which are demonstrated the feasibility and advantages by comparing infrared images, are brought out according to the characteristics of the infrared images; the test diagnosing algorithm is brought out aiming at the motors and proved by experiment with the actual images. The motor diagnostic result is also given. In the control process part, I emphasize on the database operation, transport and display of the infrared images. Finally, I summarize the work and outline the prospect.
