Software Research And Implementation Of Embedded IP Network Tester

With stepping into the era of the network progressively, people tend to depend on the information network more and more, put forward more rigorous requirements to operation, administration and maintenance of networks. And it is important to master the behavior of IP network for research and development of network devices and protocols. Thus, the research on network measurement and traffic performance is paid more attention to.The paper focuses on the four key technologies for software implementation of embedded IP network tester—Boot Loader, Linux kernel transplantation, application software design based on MiniGUI and remote probe of computer networks based on the injection of Trojan horse, which are realized by programming.An embedded IP network tester software platform based on Blob and embedded Linux kernel is designed and realized. A new scheme which can save a lot of memory spending and run more efficiently is proposed, and then friendly GUI is developed based on MiniGUI. The uncooperative measurement in the IP network is studied, and a new scheme for remote probe of computer networks based on the injection of Trojan horse is proposed and realized, then succeeds in implementing the scheme in the test networks.Finally we meet the design demand by practically testing, moreover, it helps to master the behavior of IP networks and study the network protocols and control theory.
