Database Query via natural Chinese simplifies the process of Human Computer Interaction; users could visit to the database using the concept of application field. With a growing demand for database in industry, the research of Chinese natural language database query technology has a significant theoretical and practical value.Due to the complexity and diversity of the Chinese language, if we do not restrict the importation of statement, it will be difficult to implement the natural query interface. This paper presents the concept of restricted Chinese. Based on the restricted Chinese rules, this paper presents restricted Chinese grammar. At the same time designs and develops a system dictionary for the recruitment system.Word segmentation is the first step toward understanding natural Chinese. This paper uses the improved reverse maximum matching algorithm for word segmentation. With the technology of the right-first rule, ambiguity within the segmentation results can be detected and removed, thereby ensure the accuracy of the segmentation. Using the results of lexical analysis, targets and conditions of the query can be easily generated at parsing stage, which could be used to form the middle language of natural query interface. After establishing the data structure of the middle language, the final step in the work is to find the association path. After establishing the association path between target and condition entities, complete SQL statements are therefore constructed. This paper puts forward solution for various association paths, together with corresponding examples. Finally it provided some concluding remarks together with outline of future work.
