The Application Of Sniffing To ARP Attack Detection

The sniffer technology develops quickly in the network.For the maintance of network, the monitor system of network is very necessary. It can obtain much advantages for a software system in monitoring network abnormity and network defending based on sniffer technology. Also, it is quite simple to deal with and can hardly been detected while a hacker is sniffering. So it is necessary to study this attack method in order to guard our network with lossless.In this paper, it analyzed the network monitoring technology and its current status, and introduced the sniffer technology. Then, the thesis carried on an detailed analysis to the arp agreement and working principle analysis. Based on this, it constructed a concrete model finally. The model can monitor most datas through the ethernet stably and has some practical values. Through the model, you can effectively performs to protect and detect this kind of attack.
