Reverse-engineering is a modern design method that be according to the working model coordinates measurement data,and established the material object with the digitized model,then carried on analysis and processing etc.It takes advantages of digitized model,enhances the design, the manufacture,the analysis quality and the efficiency,and adapts intellectualized,integrated,the parallelization,in the network product design manufacture process,and information storage and the exchange by this way that produces its digitized model through the working model.It is researched that the content of Reverse-engineering about that point cloud data pretreatment,section characteristic curve extraction of car's sealing strips etc.based on the car's sealing strips point cloud in this paper.To utilizing Visual C++.net,UG/OPEN API,UG/OPEN GRIP,Manuscript tools and so on,it is carried on the reverse-engineering re-development to UG, and obtained under the UG point cloud data section characteristic curve extraction module.The main content as follows:1,It is analyzed that the characteristic of car's sealing strips point cloud data,the point cloud data importation,the point cloud data filter and the simplification as well as the point cloud data segmentation and main algorithm of cloud data pretreatment.2,It is researched that the free curve and surface's mathematics foundation:Bezier curve and surface,the B-Spline curve and surface,the NURBS curve and surface,and this is also UG curve modelling re-development's mathematics foundations,And it is proposed that the re-development method of the characteristic curve extraction module based on UG.3,It is discussed that the method of the re-development to UG's kinds of tools:UG/OPEN GRIP,UG/OPEN API,MenuScript and so on.Based on the research of point cloud data sorting algorithm under UG,it is coded which the cloud data section characteristic curve construction,spline curve interpolation and B-spline curve interpolation's UG/OPEN GRIP procedures.Using Visual C++.net development kit to compile procedure,the module is linked by UG/OPEN GRIP,and produced relevant dynamic link storehouse(.dll) document. Using MenuScript menu development kit,it is made that the dynamic link storehouse linking on the menu in UG,and realizing user's interactive operation.4,Model reconstruction.Use car's sealing strips point cloud data,it is introduced in detail which car's sealing strips section characteristic curve extraction method with developed characteristic curve extraction module.
