In this dissertation, the passive control problem of linear uncertain time delay systems is mainly studied. In practical systems, the factors including measure error, change of input condition, abnormal work of sensor and actuator and external disturbance bring about the appearance of uncertainties.Passive systems theory plays an important role in the study of system stability. And in terms of a state feedback, Lyapunov recursive function we are able to solve, under mild regularity assumptions, the problem is to identifying those linear systems which are feedback equivalent to passive systems. So the key problem is to design Lyapunov recursive function and search a state feedback to passive systems. This thesis is organized as follows:First, we introduce some fundamental work of passivity and explain passive systems theory.Second, we study some different models of linear systems separately. In the second chapter, we discuss the robust passive control problem for a class of time-varying uncertain systems with both state and input delays. The commonly used norm-bounded uncertainty is extended here and some existing results of the robust passive control problem are generalized. In the third chapter, we discuss the passive control problem for a class of linear systems with multiple time-delays uncertain systems. The feedback is considered. In the fourth chapter, we discuss the delay-depend passive control problem of linear system with time-varying delay. The inequality incorporating with Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method is used to derive the delay-dependent sufficient condition based on linear matrix inequality, with ensures that the system is passive. In the fifth chapter, we consider the delay-depend robust passive control problem for a class of linear system with time-varying delay and uncertainties. Suppose that the time-varying uncertain parameters are norm-bounded, but the matched conditions are not required to satisfy. The time-delay dependent robust passive sufficient condition, which ensures that the system is passive, and time-delay feedback controller are derived. No model trans formation is employed. In the end, we conclude thi thesis and present the future work.
