Along with the increasing of frequency of economy intercourse and culture communication among China and other countries, English has become a important tool in international communication, and becomes undergraduates' indispensable tool. In this study, the author researched the undergraduates' English learning style; sought the methods to design English learning products, and then designed and developed a product which could satisfy the undergraduates' requirements of English learning.Firstly, the author found the undergraduates' six motivations of English learning, such as: CET4/6, foreign language test, final exam, individual interest, working needs and daily needs. After Stochastic-interview, author found that the motivations of undergraduates' English learning are multiple. Then study several basically English learning styles. To understand the styles of undergraduate' English learning better, use cultural probe and interview methods to collect data about English learning. Via initial data analysis, the characters of undergraduates' English learning behavior have been understood. After deeply data analysis, according to the main motivation of English learning, the characters of behavior were divided into three sorts, such as: Examination bias, Practicality bias and Considering All-sided. Then establish the behavior model charts and personas, which could offer user model to support the undergraduates' English learning products development.Next, the author analyzes the Practicality bias persona, and conducts participatory design, which includes five stages: requirement pick up, requirement validation,low-fidelity prototype design, low-fidelity prototype evaluation and improvement, product framework design. At the same time, summarize several usability rules especially for learning design to guide product development. Then, develop high-fidelity prototype via using Axure software and JavaScript. After low-fidelity prototype user validation and high-fidelity prototype heuristic evaluation, most undergraduates and experts consider that the product meets undergraduates' requirement for English learning., and they also give some advice for the product. In a word, the thesis adopts user-centered principle and Goal-Directed Design to study and design product for learning, explores a new method in learning products study and design, and it gets the prospective results.
