Fast and effectual salvage not only can reduce loss in accident, but also can ensure people's life property safety when shipwreck occurs. The chief task of salvage is to discover targets quickly and exactly. However, the sticking point of discovering targets is to image them effectively on the sea. The existing single-channel imaging technology, such as Low-light-level imaging technology, Laser active imaging technology, Infrared thermal imaging technology etc., has its own limitations, so that the single-channel imaging technology can not meet the current need of salvage. And studying new-fashioned imaging technology which can be applied to salvage is very important and urgent. The multi-channel imaging technology uses several different wave bands to image one same target scene synchronously; and then uses image fusion process to acquire the image with higher recognition efficiency, which could overcome the disadvantages of the single-channel imaging technology and also could pick up effective information from every image. The multi-channel imaging technology has the advantages, such as imaging distinctly, high contrast etc.; so it is adapt to salvage.High-speed and real-time image acquisition is an important step of the multi-channel imaging technology, so the object of this dissertation is to design a multi-channel image acquisition system based on it. According to actual requirement of the system, proposing image acquisition technology based on FPGA, taking FPGA as the core of the multi-channel image acquisition system. The system uses video ADC to convert the analog video signal to digital, takes SRAM and SDRAM as image frame memory, uses video DAC to convert the processed digital video signal and make it displayed in the monitor. The programs in FPGA are designed, which include initialization module, image acquisition module, image data storage module, VGA display module, and all modules are tested independently. Ultimately, the software and hardware of the system are debugged together and the result is acquired. The result indicates that the technique approach of the system is feasible and achieved the expectation effect, which will establish the technology foundation for developing applied multi-channel imaging system.
