RF power amplifier is necessary and plays a critical role in modern wireless communication, and the whole communication system will be affected by its performance. As the quality of people's life improved constantly, people's demand for communications is not only a single voice services, but also the provision of broadband, multimedia services. To achieve these demands, modern communication system must have a broader bandwidth and higher output power, more stable communication process, and so on. Amplifier in the base station must have these properties. This subject aim at designing a linear power amplifier whose output power is 47W in the frequency band of 2.1 GHz. But it seems not easy to finish the task because of this power amplifier own unique requirements including high output power, broad working frequency band, high linearity, and flat gain. In the thesis, the overall design of a pilot adaptive feed-forward RF pre-distortion is presented. The key technology involved by the programmer is analyzed. The four main aspects are the design of amplitude modulation and phase modulation, the main power amplifier and error amplifier design, produce and pilot injection, the search algorithm choice and control algorithms choice. The RF power amplifier modules of the RF power amplifier are designed and the key components of the module are choosen.Commissioning of the RF power amplifier is a important part of the development of RF power amplifier. It is only through repeated tests of the assembly can be adjusted to the expected power amplifier good working state. This paper shows the whole amplifier process of debugging and testing and the issues that have to be paid attention to in the debugging. In accordance with the expected targets, the main amplifier module, the error larger modules, pre-distortion module are debugged. The whole machine is debugged and achieved the expected target. At last, the ultimate testing result of the power amplifier is represented.
