Augmented Reality(AR) is a new technology which emerged as a result of the fast development of virtual reality technology and requirements of practical application. It integrates virtual objects or other information generated by computers into the real scene, which users can see in order to realize the 'augment' of real world. The implementation of AR technology can augment user's vision and expand functions of user's vision system. Because of the advantage of integration of virtual and real information, AR technology is very promising for applications in medical, mechanical, design, entertainment, military fields and so on.At present, the main applications of AR technology are browse and exhibition functions in various fields. There is a lack of interaction with users in these functions. When designers apply AR technology in scene design system, real circumstance and designed virtual objects correlate each other, and designers need to modify and improve design proposal according to integrated effect of designed objects in real scene. So this thesis not only needs to provide for designers integrated effect of designed objects in real space but also augment user's interactive operating functions to reality and virtual objects.The work of this thesis is summarized as follows. Firstly, key technologies of AR system based on vision were studied. The conversion matrix between every system of coordinates can be confirmed by fixed position through marking on two known pictures, thus realized the virtual-real registration of AR system. Secondly, a simple method for displaying integrated virtual and real effect was designed in OPGL environment. The display of virtual and real effect was integrated successfully. At last, this thesis classified interactive operating functions for users into interaction with real world, interaction with virtual objects and interaction with history, and discussed the method of loading and storing integrated virtual and real effect in real scene by using relative parameters of integration of virtual and real information and provided to the user functions such as storage of design, comparison of multi designs and repeated modification. Through instance runs, indicate system of augmented reality based on the vision calculated can be well applied to s system of augmented reality in the open air, and facilitate augmented reality to apply to designed fields of the landscape.
