With rapid development and increasingly maturing of communications technology, embedded computing technology and sensor technology, the micro-sensor with perceptual abilities, computing power and communications capability begins emerging in the world. These micro-sensor wireless sensor networks has become a matter of great concern for such sensors can be formed through real-time network monitoring and access to environmental information..Based on related characteristics of time and space properties in sensor data, this paper defines analysis operations of on-line wireless sensor networks and the rolling and the next drilling statements. In this paper, key technologies of the wireless sensor networks to achieve on-line are mainly researched. In wireless sensor network, the entire wireless sensor networks need to be organized into a rational index structure for on-line analytical processing, index structure will have a direct impact on the efficiency of on-line analysis of the entire network and the energy consumption. This paper describes the design of three types of four kinds wireless sensor networks index structure, as the time indexing, space indexing and space-time indexing. While time indexing and space indexing respectively includes two kind of indexing. Each index structure has been given the establishing and algorithm and updating algorithm.Due to the need of a large number of memory to store perceptual data and gathered data, this paper is designed for wireless sensor network data storage structure and proposes a compression method, analysis proved that the compression algorithm has good performance, the data can be compressed to 18.7% of the original. This paper presents approaches of on-line operations, as the regional approach to the inquiry, and the approach on the rolling and the next drilling. Experimental analysis shows that these three types of index structure and the method on operation of on-line analytical processing are very suitable for wireless sensor networks. These three types of index structure for on-line analysis energy consumption approximately 1/7 of DIFS index structure.
